• Specification

It is often integrated into the hydraulic circuit and positioned along the oil flow path, commonly between the hydraulic pump and the hydraulic tank. This placement ensures that the hot hydraulic oil passes through the oil cooler before returning to the tank.

Cooling Mechanism: The oil cooler consists of a series of metal tubes or plates that provide a large surface area for heat transfer. These tubes or plates are surrounded by cooling fins, which are designed to dissipate heat efficiently. As the hot hydraulic oil flows through the tubes or plates, heat is transferred from the oil to the cooling fins.

Airflow: The cooling fins of the oil cooler are exposed to ambient air. The flow of air around the cooling fins is crucial for heat dissipation. In some cases, the excavator's movement itself can provide sufficient airflow. However, in certain conditions or larger machines, an additional cooling fan might be incorporated to enhance heat exchange by increasing the airflow across the cooling fins.
